Questions
Hi, Just read your questions and answers. Point 1,the temperature control does not do convection unless the convector is turned on, the fire will alternate between one and two bars of radiant heat. Point 2. There is a fan in the fire for moving the flame effect but not for the convector, the fan can become very noisy and is possibly a weak point of the fire. I would call the fan a design fault as a silent flame effect would be far better than one that can be heard

Thanks very much for your input and feedback. I've checked with the manufacturer and you're right, there is a fan on this unit although Dimplex confirm that this has a 700 kW output for the convected heat. Regards Fireplace Superstore

How does the 'Economiser' work and what does it do.

The Economiser works a little bit like a thermostat. When it is set up, it will alternate between radiant and convected heat to maintain the temperature set. The instructions that explain this can be found at: http://www.dimplex.co.uk/assets/kb/operating_instructions/0/LYM28E_Lymington_Instructions_Issue_0.pdf Regards

Hi Does the heater in the hood use natural convection or is it fan assisted. Would prefer the former as would be silent. Thanks.

Good afternoon The Lymington is radiant and naturally convected heat only so no fan. Regards

how long is the power cable

Manufacturers don't specify the power cable length but on most electric fires, you will get approximately a metre or so. Regards Fireplace Superstore

Is there a guarantee and what is carriage cost?

Good morning The guarantee on this fire is 12 months and free delivery is included for all our online orders. Regards
